Carlos von der Heyde (Mendoza, 1978) is an Argentine photographer based in London/New York. In 2019, he fully transitioned into photography after almost twenty years in the legal profession.

His work explores the interplay between image-making, psychospirituality, and the concept of consciousness.

Images from his projects have been featured in “Revolution is Love: A Year of Black Trans Liberation,” a photo book published by Aperture in 2022; in New York’s International Center of Photography 2020 “#ICP Concerned: Global Images for Global Crisis” exhibition and related photo book; in a 2022 photography installation organized by Chinatown Soup, a community art center in Chinatown, New York; in the 2020 US nationwide “Awakening” billboard campaign organized by For Freedoms, an artist-led platform for civic engagement co-founded by conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas; by the Seminar of Mexican Culture and El Universal newspaper (Mexico); in an interview by Adriana Malvido (Mexican National Journalism Award/National Tribute to Cultural Journalism by the Guadalajara International Book Fair) for Paso Libre (Grupo de Reflexión de Economía y Cultura–Mexico); by Canal 13 TV network (Chile); and on the social media platforms of Aperture, Fotografiska New York, NYT best seller Aubrey Marcus, Time Square Alliance, Until Freedom, Cool Hunting, and Grassroots Law Project.
